Our school is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join their Music department on a permanent basis from September 2024. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching music, a strong command of musical techniques and theory, and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality music lessons that encourage creativity, self-expression, and a deep appreciation for various musical genres and traditions.
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters musical exploration, collaboration, and performance.
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students as they develop their musical skills and knowledge.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate music across the curriculum and promote interdisciplinary connections.
• Actively participate in music-related extracurricular activities, including concerts, ensembles, and school performances, and contribute to the wider school community.


Qualifications:

• A relevant degree in Music, Music Education, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching music at the secondary school level.
• Proficiency in a variety of musical instruments and techniques.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and musical.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay current with contemporary music practices and pedagogy.
