Our school is seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to join the their ever expanding department on a permanent basis from September 2024. The successful candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for teaching English, a deep understanding of the subject matter, and the ability to inspire and engage students of all abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons that nurture strong communication skills, literary analysis, and a love for literature.
• Cultivate a supportive learning environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and a lifelong appreciation for language and storytelling.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of the English department.
• Actively participate in literary-related extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
Qualifications
• A relevant degree in English, Literature, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated experience as an English Teacher at the secondary school level.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay current with educational best practices..
