Description
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Passenger Assistant to join the employer’s team in Social Care. As a Passenger Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing safe and comfortable transportation for patients and visitors within our facility.
In this role, you will assist individuals with mobility challenges, ensuring they are safely transported to their desired locations within the hospital. You will provide assistance with boarding and disembarking from vehicles, as well as ensuring the proper use of wheelchairs and other mobility aids. Additionally, you will communicate with patients and their families to provide important information and directions, creating a supportive and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities
Safely transport patients and visitors within the hospital premises.
Assist individuals with mobility challenges, ensuring they can navigate safely.
Provide assistance with boarding and disembarking from vehicles.
Ensure the proper use of wheelchairs and other mobility aids.
Communicate with patients and their families to provide information and directions.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of transportation equipment.
Document and report any incidents or accidents that occur during transportation.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a healthcare or customer service setting preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations with empathy and professionalism.
Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift and maneuver patients safely.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and hospital layout.
Willingness to undergo and pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Hours Per Week: 10.00
Start Time: 07:00
End Time: 10:00
