Description
We are currently seeking a Support Worker - Grade D to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals with various support needs. This rewarding role involves providing physical, emotional, and psychological support to our service users, ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence.
Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assisting individuals with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration. You will also provide emotional support, engage in social activities, and accompany service users to appointments and outings. Responsibilities
Help service users with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Assist individuals with meal planning, preparation, and feeding
Administer medication to service users according to prescribed protocols
Support service users in maintaining their physical and mental health
Building a trusting and supportive relationship with service users
Accompany service users to appointments, outings, and social activities
Maintain accurate documentation of support provided and any changes in the service user's condition
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in a support worker or similar role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Empathy and compassion for individuals with support needs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of service users
Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 15:00; 08:00; 16:00
End Time: 22:00; 15:00; 22:00
Location: Plymouth, South West England
Pay: £12.80 per hour
