If you are, then you are the perfect candidate for the role of Governance Manager within the NCA Diagnostics and Pharmacy Team.

We now have a vacancy for a full time, Band 8a Governance Manager – Diagnostics and Pharmacy to cover maternity leave until 1st April 2025 (9 months secondment). This is based at The Royal Oldham Hospital.

The Governance Manager for Diagnostics and Pharmacy will ensure a safe, effective and personal centred service, working with the Associate Director of Governance, Diagnostics and Pharmacy senior management team and senior divisional leads, to develop and implement a robust governance strategy across D&P services.

The role has a broad scope encompassing patient safety, risk management, compliance and complaints amongst others. This exciting opportunity is ideally suited to those looking to further develop their in-depth knowledge of the governance and quality agenda via wide exposure to working at Divisional and Care Organisation level.

You will work in a supportive team, closely with the D&P divisions and NCA
Governance Manager colleagues, leading the day-to-day delivery and development of the governance agenda.

You will have been educated to degree level studies (or equivalent) and have extensive experience working at a senior level within the health or social care setting, with strong experience of governance.

You will have excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills and the ability to quickly establish effective working relationships with clinical and nonclinical colleagues at all levels.

You will have strong leadership skills and the ability to engage staff from all
disciplines whilst maintaining high professional standards.
