Summary


The Emergency Medicine team are looking for an Administration Assistant to join us at Colchester Hospital.

You will work as part of the Emergency department team as a breach validator and will be responsible for gathering relevant data from a range of sources and tracking a patients’ journey through A&E.

You will have proven experience in an administrative role, have excellent communication skills and good attention to detail.

• Liaising with various internal departments e.g. Portering teams, diagnostics departments, in order to support validation work
• Understanding of departmental/ national targets and KPI’s
• To be responsible for the quality of data recorded. The data should be accurate, legible (if hand written), recorded in a timely manner, kept up to date and appropriately filed
• Provide a range of routine administrative support relevant to the Emergency department, ensuring that urgent matters are actioned and escalated without delay
