Summary


The Transfer of Care Hub at Colchester Hospital has an opportunity for an experienced Administration Assistant to join our friendly team.

You will provide efficient and pro-active administration support alongside our existing team and will be a key contact for patients and families dealing with a range of queries.

You will be responsible for working independently providing a full range of secretarial and administrative support and therefore must be highly organised and show the ability to prioritise a busy workload under pressure.

In this role you will be expected to adhere to policies and procedures to provide a comprehensive and high quality service. You will be able to deal efficiently and courteously with patient and staff enquiries.

You will need to demonstrate an interest in the discharge pathway of patients and have some knowledge of the current discharge process within the acute hospital and community setting.

You will need to be an effective communicator in often challenging situations, have good interpersonal skills and feel confident working as part of a small team.
