Summary


Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow (Core) in Urology with or without Postgraduate Master’s Degree at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to commence from 07 August 2024 for 12 months.

The duties of this post include working within the Department of Urology at junior level on a full shift rota (subject to confirmation and change).

Opportunities also exist for assisting in theatre and to be taught to perform minor and intermediate urological procedures. When on-call the post holder will work closely with the on-call Consultant who is freed from all elective activities in order to deal with on-call issues and provide on the job teaching.

In order to be considered applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the person specification and have:

• Completed their Foundation Competencies.

• Experience of 6 months working in the NHS.

• Previous experience in Surgery.

• Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application.

This post may be suitable for those wishing to undertake an “F3” role.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
