Location: Westminster- Office and borough wide. Non-Hybrid occasional WFH days possible.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Health Officer (EHO) specializing in Food Safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and enforcing food safety standards across various establishments, including restaurants, cafes, food manufacturing plants, and retail outlets. Your role will be crucial in preventing foodborne illnesses and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and unannounced inspections of food premises.
• Investigate food safety complaints and outbreaks of foodborne illnesses.
• Provide guidance and support to food business operators to achieve compliance.
• Enforce food safety regulations and take appropriate action when non-compliance is identified.
• Develop and deliver food safety training and educational programs.
• Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records of inspections and investigations.
• Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to promote public health and safety.
• Stay updated on current food safety legislation, trends, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, Food Science, or a related field.
• Certification as a Registered Environmental Health Officer (REHO) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in food safety inspections and enforcement.
• In-depth knowledge of food safety laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in using inspection and reporting software.

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £26.14
