Summary

Are you an administrator who would like to use their skills to make a difference?

Then we would love to have you on our team in Cancer Services as our Gynaecology/Oncology CNS Administrator.

If successful, you will work closely with the Gynae/Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist, Tumour site leads, Associate Director of Nursing and Macmillan Cancer Information leads to ensure coordination of supportive care for all those post cancer treatment across MSE.

The role is based at Southend Hospital but you will also work closely supporting your peers based at our Basildon site to ensure an equitable and reliable service is delivered, facilitating the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that coordinated and streamlined administrative processes are in place.

If you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills including telephone, email, face to face with both staff and patients then this could be the right role for you.

If you have an awareness of the needs of people affected by cancer and brilliant administration skills then we welcome your application today.

All administrative staff work as part of a team supporting the nursing and management teams in the directorate.

During annual leave and sickness of other members of the team, it will be necessary for the work to be re-distributed to ensure that the service continues to operate safely and efficiently.

It may be necessary for you to carry out the duties of other staff within the wider team.

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is now one of the largest in the country, with a workforce of approximately 17,000 who serve a population of 1.2 million people.

We work together, and in conjunction with MSE Health and Care Partnership, to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients in a compassionate way, and provide a respectful, but vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.

From facilities through to consultant specialists we want to be the best, to achieve this we need to recruit not just those who are the finest in their field but also those who have the potential to be. Yes, experience is important but so is outlook – if you are dynamic, forward-thinking and enthusiastic we want you to join us.

We not only offer you a good working environment with flexible working opportunities, but also the opportunity to develop your career with access to appropriate training for your job and the support to succeed and progress.

Please see attached a full job description setting out the details of the role and responsibilities.

We look forward to your application.
