Summary


This is an exciting opportunity to join MSE as a Personal Assistant to the secretarial services and clinical staff.

You will act as the first point of contact for communication with consultants, medical staff and other multi-disciplinary team members.

You will liaise with departments, general practitioners, patients, relatives and visitors to resolve queries as appropriate.

You will also undertake office duties as required as part of the multidisciplinary team.

• Work as part of the clinical support team to ensure delivery of a comprehensive and effective administration service to clinical personnel across the business unit.
• Undertake the full range of personal assistant duties, including diary management, the creation and maintenance of a variety of business and clinical documents, general administration and dealing with patient enquiries. This is a very fast paced working environment, must be able to prioritise workload and multitask. Must be flexible to provide cover for colleagues during absence and annual leave.
• Provide advice and demonstrate own initiatives or workplace routines to new or less experienced employees within the team.
• Promote good customer relations and public image of the department.
• Arrange patients’ outpatient appointments using Medway / Careflow and inform patients of appointments by post and telephone. To rearrange appointments if required to do so either by patient, GP, manager or consultant request.
