Summary
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of the team.

To ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility.
To work as part of the multidisciplinary team ensuring the delivery of a high standard of car to the patients.
To act as team leader including taking charge in the absence of Deputy Ward Manager/Ward Manager.
To participate in all relevant aspects of the Governance process.
The post holder will adhere to the NMC code of Professional Conduct at all times and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
To act as a positive role model at all times.
Ensure the rights of patients are respected at all times and assist in the provision of information, enabling informed decisions to be made about their care.
Positively contribute to the process of change within the department.
Contribute to the reduction of healthcare acquired infection by ensuring a high standard of infection control practice.
To ensure personal attendance at mandatory training.
Learn and perform new skills in relation to this specialty e.g. IV drug administration, defibrillation, venipuncture, ECG recording etc.
Demonstrate nursing skills to more junior members of the nursing team, to enable them to assist in the implementation of prescribed nursing actions.
