Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Staff Nurse to join our wonderful Team as we are looking to expand our efficient and high quality service.

You will always adhere to the NMC code of Professional Conduct and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures. You will ensure that an individual programme of care is planned, implemented, and evaluated for each patient within own sphere of responsibility.

You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team always ensuring the delivery of a high standard of car to the patients and act as positive role model and take charge in the absence of team leader.

To participate in all relevant aspects of the Governance process.

You are expected to be rotated within the three clinal areas ie: clinic ward and theatres.

This contract will come to an end on 31st March 2025.

To provide and maintain the highest possible standards of patient care and to develop and maintain good ward management and organisational skills and provide effective support for the ward manager and sister/charge nurse, ensuring self-development in the day-to-day management of the ward/clinic/theatres.

Under the supervision of the ward/department manager to work on delegated projects relating to local policy and service development.

Work towards an awareness of service delivery plans and be involved actively in the implementation of Trust policies and procedures at ward / department level, reinforcing their use.

Positively contribute to the annual appraisal system and development of personal development plan for the team and take charge of the ward/clinic in the absence of deputy ward manager/ward manager.

Demonstrate the ability to prioritise care delivery within the ward/clinic/theatre setting acknowledging the impact of the decision on their departments.

When taking charge ensure the team act within current Mid & South Essex NHS Foundation Trust policies and guidelines of clinical practice.

Ensure the use of information technology is in accordance with Mid & South Essex NHS Foundation Trust Policies and procedures and to participate in the process of complaint management.

Supervise and delegate tasks according to the team member’s skills and development needs.
