Join Our Dynamic Team: Import & Export Linehaul Team Leader at DB Schenker!

Are you a seasoned logistics professional with a passion for leading high-performing teams? Look no further! We're seeking a Linehaul Team Leader to take charge of our bustling Import and Export freight department within our land division.

Location: Nuneaton, UK
Hours: 9:00 to 17:30

Salary: £30,000 to £33,000



What will you be doing?

  • Introduce metrics for evaluating team performance and service quality to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure efficient response to customer issues and complaints, fostering satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate closely with departments, hauliers, and partners to ensure seamless operations.
  • Utilize in-house systems for shipping documentation and prepare customer activity reports.
  • Manage a team of Customer Service Operators, overseeing job costing and month-end reporting.
  • Reporting of KPIs into X -site meetings.
  • Monitor and action generic email boxes.
  • Managing the planning of export linehaul trailers to IE and EU.
  • Managing the data transfer of inbound trailers from IE and EU.
  • Working with and monitoring terminal inventories daily.

About you

  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • A passion for service excellence and commitment to meeting customer needs.
  • High levels of energy, sound judgment, and determination to achieve with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communicator with strong relationship management skills.
  • Effective problem solver, capable of resolving conflicts and taking ownership.
  • Attention to detail in managing processes and documentation.
  • Ability to mentor and develop team members.
