Do you have a passion for designing & developing learning content and working with others to bring it to life?

We are excited to announce a new vacancy to join the Learning & Organisational Development Team at Platform Housing Group. We are looking for a 12-month fixed term Digital/Blended Learning Designer so let’s be upfront about why.

We have several key essential projects which we are supporting, as well as objectives to help deliver our Colleague Strategy and a cultural transformation on the go, so we need to expand the Design & Delivery Team.  We are looking for creative and innovative people to help us create engaging learning activities and course content so that it aligns with the Group strategy and our values & behaviours.

This exciting role within the team is where you will design and build learning that takes the requirements and transforms them into engaging learning content.

You will work within a strategic, future focused, proactive, highly valued Learning & Organisational Development (LOD) Team with responsibility that includes enabling a culture of continuous learning, unlocking potential, managing talent, developing management and leadership capability, and embedding our values and behaviours into our Platform DNA.

So, what are we looking for?

You should be an agile, creative thinker with demonstrated ability to convert information into easily understandable learning content.  If you are comfortable being curious and asking questions to make sure you get outcomes, then we hope that you are interested in joining us.

We want you to work collaboratively with stakeholders across Platform and within the team to design engaging learning resources and solutions that meet the training and performance needs of Platform.

You will draft storyboards, scripts, and build training content and proactively manage drafts through stakeholder reviews, updates, and approvals. Where necessary, you will be required to create customised versions of related content for different target audiences.

There will be opportunity for you to use your skills to support capability requirements, for example, to support new technologies, processes, essential (not soft) skills, behaviours, mindsets and regulatory changes.

Some things that we need from you:

A clear passion for supporting business and individual growth through the development of people

Be proficient in instructional design/eLearning development using design software & authoring tools (Articulate 360, Adobe etc)

The ability to communicate abstract or technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences

You should be experienced in carrying out instructional design processes and creating clear content scripts and storyboards

Proven experience in the design and development of performance-based training including Compliance and Health & Safety content

Ability to monitor and evaluate results and business impact of projects and learning

Experience in implementing and delivering innovative and relevant learning objectives/ solutions/interventions

Experience in working with managers, SMEs, and stakeholders to identify performance gaps

Solid project management skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams

Although this role is home-based, you should be able to travel to offices and other locations as needed. Travel is expected to be approximately 1-2 times per month. Our group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park in Solihull and Central Park in Worcester.

Some of the great benefits we can offer you:

Up to 28 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) with the opportunity to buy and sell leave

Family friendly policies, flexible working, and ability to work from home in most roles

Medicash membership for all employees which includes access to an employee assistance programme, discounted gym membership and exclusive discounts

Non- contributory health & wellbeing plans with cashback for dental, optical, physio and complementary therapies

Pension contribution scheme with employer contributions of up to 12% (inclusive of life assurance and dependent on employee contributions)

Learning and Development opportunities

Salary sacrifice electric vehicle scheme

Employee reward and recognition scheme with wellbeing hub and discount from a wide range of retailers
