Sodexo has a great opportunity for an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to join our established team working with our clients based in Cambridge.
Joining our team at their new site in Cambourne, you will lead the Environment, Health & Safety strategy aligned to company policy and strategy to be Permanent Audit and Inspection Ready, ensuring compliance with global safety standards & UK legislation at all times, taking full responsibility for the implementation of EHS and Food Safety Policies and Processes.
The Environmental, Health and Safety Manager will lead and manage the reporting and investigation, including Root Cause Analysis, of accidents & incidents and undertake environmental, health and safety planning for sites, agreeing priorities and establishing adequate systems for performance management
You will be comfortable liaising and building long-term relationships with client Health & Safety representatives at regional and global level as well as international safety teams to support the site, creating monthly governance reports, providing direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting Sodexo strategies & best business practices in order to uphold the company mission and values by driving innovation and continuous improvement of people, systems, processes and services.

About You Experience and knowledge requirement for this role:
- Implementing safety and quality systems (OHSAS 18001; ISO 9001; IS 14001)
- Proven recent experience Risk Management and Business Continuity
- Working within a high-profile organisation in a fast-paced environment
- Detailed knowledge of current Health & Safety legislation
- Good organisational & communication skills
- Producing concise information & driving a safety culture
- Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, both prescribed and self-imposed
- Establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels
- Self-starter able to take ownership of the role and thrive from the first day
- Minimum of NVQ level 4 qualification in Health & Safety
- Membership of IOSH (Chartered or working towards)
- HACCP / Food Safety
