We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Marketing and Social Media Assistant, based within our Retail Support team at our offices in Newbridge, Edinburgh. In this role, you will have the opportunity to manage our marketing campaigns and support our social media presence. Responsibilities


Social Media:

· Support the creation and curation of engaging content for our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.)

· Help develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and traffic

· Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and enquiries in a timely and professional manner

· Analyse social media metrics and provide regular reports to optimise performance

Marketing:

· Assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, including online and offline channels

· Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling marketing materials, such as in-leaflets, instore POS and theatre

· Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities

· Help organise and coordinate marketing events and promotional activities


Requirements


· Proven background and experience in social media and / or marketing

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders

· Proficient in using various software applications, including MS Office suite

· Great organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

· Creative thinking and ability to contribute innovative ideas


While this is primarily an office-based role, there is the opportunity for some home working. The working hours for this role are flexible over Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm, with a degree of flexibility required from time to time to meet the needs of the business. The hourly rate for the position is £12.30 per hour.
