Summary


As a team, we are proud to be in a position to recruit a highly motivated and innovative practitioner into our successful School Nursing team. You will be expected to work with partnership agencies to develop and agree action plans for children, young people and their families to meet social, emotional and health care needs.

To deliver early help and brief interventions, public health messages and clinical care to Children, Young People and Families within a variety of locations such as schools, homes and other appropriate settings including virtual platforms, under the support and guidance of senior members of the team.

• You will be expected to develop and deliver programmes/ activities for child development, health promotion and education using innovative and imaginative evidenced based practice.
• You will have a key role in developing the Early Help strategy working closely with our partner agencies to offer help, support
and advice to vulnerable families across the borough of Doncaster.
• You will attend multi agency meetings to collectively discuss safe planning and support for families. For this reason you must be able to demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills.
• You will be expected to confidently support the Specialist Community Public Health Nurses to deliver a sexual health clinic in secondary schools across Doncaster by giving advice to young people as needed.
• You will have experience of working with children, young people and their families in either a health, education or community setting so that you are able to transfer your skills and have a full understanding of the demands of this role.
