Align Property Services are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to learn and who is committed to a career in Civil & Structural Engineering to join their Bridges team in Northallerton as an Apprentice Civil and Structural Engineer.

You will receive full training and it is expected that you will progress to a fully funded HNC/Degree level via day-release to university. This is a great opportunity for you to build a solid foundation for your engineering career through mentorship, theory, and professional practice.

As an Apprentice Civil & Structural Engineer, you will:



· Collaborate with senior engineers to assist in the design, development, and implementation of projects, including preparation of structural drawings, levels & grading, drainage, utilities, and highways.

· Conduct site visits to gather data, assess existing conditions, and support engineering assessments.

· Assist in preparing engineering drawings, plans, and specifications using industry-standard software.

· Conduct basic structural engineering calculations and analyses to ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.

· Support the coordination and communication with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

· Assist in the preparation of project cost estimates and construction schedules.

· Participate in construction site inspections to monitor project progress and ensure adherence to engineering plans and specifications.

· Contribute to the identification and resolution of technical issues and challenges encountered during the project lifecycle.

· Stay updated with industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to residential developments.

· Actively engage in learning opportunities, training programs, and professional development activities to enhance your knowledge and skills in civil engineering.

· Provide you with a supervised programme of apprenticeship training, allowing progression through to degree level qualifications, sponsored by APS.

· Offer 25 days annual leave per annum plus Bank Holidays.

Essential requirements:



- Good academic record

- Good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Package

- Good communication skills both written and verbal

- Minimum 5 GCSE Grades A-C/5-9 including Maths, English and Science and/or

- A Level grades suitable for direct entry onto accredited p/t apprenticeship course

- Be willing to undertake the part time Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship course

- Driving Licence or willing/working towards obtaining a UK Driving Licence
