Summary

Location: Northallerton

Hours: Permanent/ Apprenticeship/ Inc. part time education

Full Time (37.5 hrs per week for age 21 and under, 40 Hours per week for over the age of 21)



Salary: £17000 - £24000 pro rata (All degree fees will be paid by Align Property Services)

Align Property Services are looking for a motivated individual who is keen to learn and who is committed to a career in Quantity Surveying to join their team in Northallerton as an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor.



You will receive full training and it is expected that you will progress to a fully funded HNC/Degree level via day-release to university. This is a great opportunity for you to build a solid foundation for your engineering career through mentorship, theory, and professional practice.

As an Apprentice Quantity Surveyor, you will:

· Assist in overseeing the cost, accounting, and financial control for construction projects.

· Participate in the procurement, selection, and contract management for projects.

· Will work with senior Quantity Surveyors in the management of the commercial success of projects for all stakeholders including the consideration of sustainability, measurement and costing and legislative requirements.

· Understand the obligations related to Health and Safety.

· Use of spreadsheets, word processing and our various management systems to prepare cost plans.

· Prepare tender and contract documents

· Attend site meetings as and when required

· Prepare monthly valuations for onsite works and final accounts

Essential requirements:



- Good academic record

- Good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Package

- Good communication skills both written and verbal

- Minimum 5 GCSE Grades A-C/5-9 including Maths, English and Science and/or

- A Level grades suitable for direct entry onto accredited p/t apprenticeship course

- Be willing to undertake the part time Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship

- Driving Licence or willing/working towards obtaining a UK Driving Licence
