Summary


We are looking for a committed and dynamic experienced nurse including those from a deputy management background or equivalent experience, to provide leadership and clinical direction on Bellevue ward, St Cadoc's Hospital which is our female locked Rehabilitation unit.

The successful candidate will have a passion for person centred care and will work alongside the wider MDT.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of sound clinical leadership and will have a value base that is person centred and in line with current evidenced based practice.

In addition to the team we have strong links between the members of the secondary care services including acute wards and CMHTs, multi-disciplinary/multi-agency team, GP’s and voluntary agencies.

Bellevue is a 6 bedded female unit that is based in Caerleon and has a full MDT structure within the service.

Establish and maintain effective care through the holistic and comprehensive assessment of service user’s needs, planning, implementation, and review in accordance with CTP policy and procedures.

To ensure multi-disciplinary working by utilising other professionals to enhance care and provide information and feedback for multi- disciplinary review and referral meetings.

To promote a value base service which meets the needs of service users, promoting active engagement, developing life skills and roles promoting choice, empowerment, independence and ensuring that their wishes to live and experience an ordinary life are respected.



The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

To exercise strong and effective clinical leadership within the team, to ensure standards and quality of care and to develop professional practice within the multi-disciplinary team.

To manage all aspects of people management including; recruitment, retention, redeployment, performance management, development and review, annual leave, sickness / absence, and appropriate provision of cover, staff capability, investigation of disciplinary matters and reporting of critical / untoward incidents.

To ensure the team vision and philosophy is developed in line with Health Board Policies, protocols, procedures, National Service Frameworks, National Guidance and Research and is implemented by the team and all staff involved.
