Summary


Do you want to work in a high performing team, are you organised, and do you enjoy fostering good relationships? If so, we are looking for a Senior Patient Flow Coordinator who will be based across our two inpatient units with agile working opportunity.

As the Senior Patient Flow Coordinator, the post holder will work collaboratively and pro-actively with the Patient Flow Service Manager, Bed managers and Patient Flow coordinator (Band 4) to co-ordinate and manage all administration processes and operational issues effectively.

The post holder will be expected to work closely alongside the Senior Management Team, Inpatient Leadership Teams and Community Teams to ensure effective patient flow in maintained.

The ideal candidate will have a reasonable knowledge in acute mental health ,strong team work ethic, sense of accountability, highly competent user of MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and accompanied by an ability to work under considerable pressure at times. In return you will be supported by robust leadership and will be provided with support and training for this role and on-going supervision and the development of your skills.

The post holder will contribute to the smooth running of the service on a daily basis, assisting the Discharge Coordinating team within Patient flow to ensure that Key reports and Quality and Performance targets are met.

The post holder will support the delivery of services across Patient Flow and in developing standardised administration processes.

The post holder must be adept at prioritising the activities that will most rapidly lead to safe discharges and will attend the weekly bed management and CRFD meetings for inpatient units and Recovery House.

The post holder will provide supervision and support with the management of Patient flow coordinator including: recruitment, selection, workload allocation, performance management, PDR, absences and cover arrangements where necessary.

The post holder must display a considerable degree of initiative, possess reasonable judgement and maintain a calm, friendly and efficient manner when dealing with staff, service users, colleagues and others.

The post holder will be highly proficient in using information and communication systems and technology, with a willingness and aptitude to develop this expertise.

The post holder will contribute to the induction, support and guidance to all new starters. The post holder will demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills, prioritising to meet deadlines and to use initiative. They will work autonomously and work well within a Multi- Disciplinary Team
