Summary

The Sir Alan Parks Biofeedback and Physiology Department is a specialist unit which is dedicated to the management of patients with pelvic floor disorders. We provide world class specialist pelvic floor care for patients across London and beyond. This role is ideal for individuals looking to enhance their skills relating to managing patient tracking lists and working closely with clinical colleagues such as nurses, physiotherapist, clinical scientists and consultants in ensuring our unit continues to run smoothly and efficiently and pathways are streamlined to keep up with the latest research within the unit. It will involve working with clinical systems, liaising with local GP practices, Community specialist services and supporting our Clinical Specialists. Throughout the role you will be expected to establish and build relationships across a world class clinical team.
• To support the Clinical Lead and Service Manager to ensure all administrative processes are delivered to a high professional standard.
• To provide a high quality secretarial service using the electronic dictation service, supporting the clinicians as required ensuring that accurate and timely clinical correspondence is prepared and issued. This may also include some ad hoc audio / copy typing. You will need to track results and highlight these to the relevant clinician when available.
• You will be required to check and input data onto the hospital information systems, thus making sure correct clinic codes are correct as this can have a financial implication on the Trust as well as effecting patient pathways.
• Maintenance and upkeep of the department’s database, noting errors and ensuring improvement which can be passed on to the software developers when updating the system.
• Under the instruction of the Clinical Lead and Service Manager to cancel / reduce clinics as leave is booked and to take ownership of the clinic template to provide the necessary micro-management of number to ensure that clinics are booked to capacity, but appropriately for the number of practitioners in clinic.

London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) cares for the people of Brent, Ealing, Harrow and beyond.
