Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School in the centre of Cardiff. The position will be full-time, working in a Special Resource Base in a mainstream primary school. The ideal candidate will be confident working with children with varied needs and abilities, to ensure each child has the same opportunity to develop. There may be instances of challenging behaviour when working with children on a 1:1 basis, therefore good behaviour management will be required and the ability to adapt to the different needs of children.

Main duties required:
- Confident providing 1:1 support to children with additional learning needs
- Ability to complete intervention work with small groups of children, or on an individual basis
- On hand to always support the teacher and children support in the classroom
- Good classroom control and behaviour management

The school is looking for an energetic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team, bringing new ideas and a positive attitude to the class. The school will provide continuous support and feedback to help with your professional development.

What you will need:
- Enhanced DBS (Child Only) checks must be completed before the role will commence - (Teaching Personnel can help you with this!)
- EWC registration - mandatory requirement in Wales.
- Experience personally or in a working environment with children (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
