Teaching Personnel are seeking to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School based in Cardiff. The position will be full-time, working alongside a class in Key Stage 2. The ideal candidate will be working with children on a 1:1 basis who require additional support with their learning and day to day assistance. Using initiative and being confident creating a strong relationship with the children will be required, to ensure they are developing as expected and involved with the learning throughout the day. Adaptability is essential, and there may be instances dealing with challenging behaviour and assisting the teacher with daily classroom duties.
Main duties required:
- Confident providing 1:1 support to children with additional learning needs
- Ability to complete intervention work with small groups of children
- On hand to support the teacher with general classroom support
- Preparing resources for the day and ensuring the classroom is ready for lessons

What you will need:
- Enhanced DBS (Child Only) checks must be completed before the role will commence.
- Registered to the Education Workforce Council (mandatory requirement in Wales).
