Summary


Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is undertaking an ambitious redevelopment programme to replace and re-new it’s outdated and aging healthcare estate. The redevelopment programme covers the three main acute hospital sites within the Trust and will be delivered in multiple stages with an investment value of £3-4bn.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Imperial Redevelopment Team for an experienced self-motivated Head of Governance and Business Management.The Head of Redevelopment Programme Governance and Business Management will be pivotal in ensuring our redevelopment is managed to the highest standards of programme governance providing essential reporting, governance and assurance confidence. This role will help ensure we do things well and get the our new hospitals approved and delivered.

As the Head of Programme Governance and Business Management, you will be responsible for ensuring the redevelopment governance framework is of the highest quality and provides robust reporting and assurance displaying best practice project delivery standards. You will be responsible for business and resource management including overseeing the production of business cases supporting investment proposals. You will hold a multifaceted role critical to the success of the Imperial redevelopment programme.



Your primary objective will be to establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, assurance processes, project delivery standards, and oversee the development of new projects within the programme. By ensuring effective governance and adherence to standards, you will play an essential role in delivering high-quality healthcare infrastructure projects that meet the essential needs of patients, our staff, local communities and other stakeholders and regulatory requirements.

Through an approach of continual improvement, identify, evaluate, and implement new and innovative ways of working to achieve the right outcomes for the redevelopment programme.

To demonstrate excellent collaborative skills where you will be responsible for developing strong relationships within the Trust, NHP, other Trusts and professions to help shape the success of the Redevelopment Programme.

To lead and participate in commercial activities to ensure the procurement of the right products and services, ensuring that the benefits are realised for the implementation of these products, and adequately reported on so that the organisation can ensure the business needs are met.
