Summary

Purpose of the role:

The Treasury Controller (Reporting) is responsible for preparing the key reporting requirements and forecasting for Group Treasury and supporting the business with ad hoc accounting advice What you'll be doing:

• Assisting the treasury accountant with the month end and year end reporting requirement for Treasury related balances working closely with the Group Finance team.
• Accounting for the various hedge relationships across the Group and perform the effectiveness testing.
• Maintaining an interest forecast model for both the monthly management reporting and the three-year business plan. Able to perform variance analysis on a monthly basis and provide commentary to senior stakeholders.
• Advise businesses about how to account for their foreign exchange exposure and how this should be accounted for in their ledgers.
• Ensure continued compliance with IFRS 9 and hedge accounting.
• Support the Assistant Treasurer in the preparation of technical accounting papers.
• Provide back up and support to the treasury accountant when needed.
• Overseeing monthly intercompany accounting process and maintaining it in the TMS.
• Manage the accounting implementation in the new TMS

What we're looking for:

• Qualified accountant.
• Knowledge and understanding of derivative accounting and disclosure.
• 3+ years FTSE 100/250 Treasury experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• The ability to relay requirements between technical and non-technical people.
• Team player with genuine enthusiasm to make a contribution and difference to the company and employees.
• Effective management skills. The role will directly supervise one individual and key to success will be the ability to delegate BAU.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to meet deadlines for both BAU and projects.
• Ability to clearly explain derivative accounting to stakeholders.
