Join us as a Treasury Quantitative Analyst

  • We’ll look to you to support Treasury Markets for pricing, risk management and analytics, and support other areas of Treasury for application development and model risk management
  • You’ll be applying your subject matter expertise in the management and governance of Model Risk in Treasury as part of the Treasury Quantitative Analytics team

What you'll do

As a Treasury Quantitative Analyst, you’ll be supporting the Treasury Markets Desk for the pricing and valuation of fixed income, interest rates, FX and credit derivatives. You’ll be supporting bank-wide programmes or the Treasury Markets Desk in a range of projects.

Working with Technology teams, you’ll help introduce new features within current strategic platforms, or technology transformations that require development of prototypes, testing and validation before implementation.

You’ll also be:

  • Developing various desk analytic tools for rapid deployment or prototypes for IT integration
  • Acting as a first-line subject matter expert for model risk governance and controls
  • Developing applications for performance benchmarking, portfolio optimisation, quantitative data driven, and strategic insights
  • Providing quantitative support for pricing and risk analytics of derivative products
  • Developing FX risk management tools and analytics

The skills you'll need

To take on this role, you’ll be highly numerate, analytical, and detail oriented, with knowledge of financial derivatives. You’ll need to hold a STEM degree with a keen interest in finance, or a Finance or Accounting degree with some coursework in Quantitative Finance, along with a demonstrable developer skillset.

You’ll also bring:

  • Experience of coding, ideally using Python either through coursework or self-taught in topics such as Data Science or Financial Modelling
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to traverse between different levels of communication such as technical, or non-technical audiences
  • The ability to adapt to a range of projects of varying levels of difficulty and complexity
