Summary
The post holder is an experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist and requires the post holder to undertake diagnostic assessments for suitability and readiness for gender affirming medical interventions. The post holder will also undertake psychological assessments and therapeutic work including individual and group therapy work, their families, consultation to other staff members, supervision and training of others, clinically relevant research/audit and specific roles that will support with Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Lead for Psychology and Psychotherapy, Clinical Lead, Clinical Director, and Service Manager in developing NYPGS. Liaison with a broad range of other disciplines and agencies, including specialist endocrinology services, CAMHS, Paediatrics, Social Care, Primary Care and also the delivery of education and supervision will be a key aspect of this post. The role will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team.
