Summary


Children's Services at Homerton Healthcare is looking for a Paediatric Nurse to provide expert and compassionate seamless care to children with Epilepsy and their families/carers. This is a suitable role for someone who is already working as an Epilepsy CNS or a B6 working with children with Epilepsy who is ready to take the next step into a specialist role.

You will be working alongside a very experienced CNS who will be able to offer support and training, where necessary.

You may be expected to work clinically on the ward or in Outpatients so its desirable that you have recent clinical experience in one or both of those areas.
• Acute & long term education, advice and liaison for families
• Support for MDT clinic
• Co-ordination of follow up OPD appointments
• Monitor/manage the high risk CYP in the caseload
• Admission avoidance through close monitoring and optimisation of treatment
• Multi-professional liaison: GP, tertiary, social, other specialties
• School liaison/ education
• Telephone advice
• involvement in research and audit
