Nixon Hire are currently hiring a Welfare Manager as part of our developing welfare division.

Working Hours Full Time (45 hours per week)

Located at our Bedford Depot

Job Role

Managing the Welfare team. Ensuring that work is distributed equitably and efficiently so that product is available to meet hire requirements, breakdowns are dealt with promptly and preventative maintenance is carried out in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Product Knowledge: Provide expertise in Welfare Products, sharing best practice and aiding for ensuring Nixon Hire are quoting Welfare products correctly.

Evaluating work practices and implementing improvements aimed at minimising cost and maximising productivity.

Resource planning, ensure there is adequate staff to meet the company’s / customer’s objectives, taking into consideration holiday and other absences.

Ensuring all Site Welfare services / repairs are carried out in accordance with manufacturers recommendations, whether on hire or in depot and all relevant documentation is correctly completed.

Recruiting staff and ensuring they, and all other staff in the Site Welfare team, are adequately trained to operate efficiently, effectively, safely, and professionally in coordination with the Learning & Development team.

Complying with and ensuring all staff in the department are aware of and complying with all Company procedures and Health & Safety procedures, Health & Safety Directives and the Company’s P.P.E. requirements. Including issuing NCA’s to record breaches of procedures and where necessary conducting or organising training or toolbox talks to address issues.

Qualifications

Trade qualification- Mechanical, Electrical. Maintenance.
Sound knowledge of UK Building regulations and legislation.
Skills

Competent organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise, and maintain order in a busy depot.
Strong leadership skills, to lead a team effectively.
Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding of Welfare buildings and equipment maintenance.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to depot operations.
Excellent communication skills verbally written internally and externally, up, down, horizontally.
Attention to Detail: Keen eye for quality control and safety compliance.
Risk Assessment experience.
Experience

1-2 years previous experience in Depot Management, logistics, or equipment rental
