Summary


Patient Access Administrator

Department: Patient access

Band 4 £25,147 - £27,596 per annum pro rata

Hours: 15 hours per week, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

This administrative role is one that supports many administrative teams within the Patient Access department at MKUH.

This is a part-time 15 hour role, and can be considered for cover over 2 or three days each week, for the successful candidate, between Monday and Friday.

You will manage the ordering of stock, stationary, equipment for these with the team, and will assist our central administrative managers with meeting minutes, agenda’s and our electronic roster system.

We are looking for someone with good organisational skills, administrative knowledge, good IT knowledge and the ability to be flexible depending on the workload.

Reporting to the Patient Pathway Managers, the post holder will provide high quality accurate data and administrative support

The post holder will work independently to provide senior administration support to the Patient Access Management Team.

• To provide administrative support to defined members of the team
• To administrate the Patient Pathway Coordinator Healthroster, ensuring it is an accurate reflection of staffing levels, working patterns, annual leave, and sickness absences. Planning the rota to ensure service levels are maintained.
• To manage stock levels, ensuring that that sufficient stationery and office equipment is available, and the department is working within its designated non-pay budget.
• To ensure timesheets are processed accurately and within designated deadlines.
• To support the investigation and response to complaints and DATIX’s.
• To maintain the department Risk Register, updating as required and ensuring it is presented and discussed at the monthly management meeting
• Leading the Patient Access Focus Group, in order to ensure continuous improvement of staff engagement and satisfaction.
• Independently preparing monthly staff newsletters and regular bulletins to ensure staff are kept informed of key updates.
• Analysing trends from the staff survey to propose changes to working practice and processes
