Summary


We are looking for a friendly, reliable and responsive Security Officer to come and join us.

You must be flexible and be able to work as part of a team in order to be able to deal with patients, staff and visitors in a pleasant and co-operative manner. You will ensure the safety of patients and staff within the hospital/on ward areas by providing support to clinical teams.

Please note, you will be required to work a full shift pattern which includes nights and weekend working.

ESNEFT is undergoing a transitional phase which may result in the outsourcing of Soft FM services to another provider from April 2025. Successful candidates will commence on ENSEFT terms and conditions before transferring employment to the new employer. Terms and conditions will largely remain unchanged upon employment transfer.

· To provide and maintain a highly effective and efficient Security service to patients, staff and visitors of the Hospital Trust.

· To carry out regular patrols within the hospital building structure and to record the patrols.

· To be alert and diligent to any potential security risk, and alert staff to any such risk.

· To be responsible for ensuring that all access points to the hospital are secured in accordance with the Hospital Trust.

· To respond immediately to all alarms activated by any security or warning system, or any requests for assistance within the hospital. At all times the site of any alarm should be attended within the agreed times.
