Summary


The summer administrative roles are for a fixed period of time, beginning in July and ending by October. You must be able to start on one of the following 3 dates -



1st July

15th July

29th July



You will need to be able to commit to 10 weeks work, between your start date and the beginning of October. We do recognise you may wish to take unpaid holiday for a maximum of 2 weeks during this period meaning you will need to be available for 12 weeks to deliver the 10 weeks. This can be discussed at interview.



The roles are likely to be slightly different depending on where you are working but all will be offices based. The job will involve working at a computer and requires the ability to concentrate and complete work to a high standard.



We may close applications early if demand is high.

Main Duties

Ensure all duties and tasks are undertaken in line with relevant Trust and departmentpolicies, procedures, training, and guidance.



Work to and follow departmental/ national targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).



To be responsible for the quality of data being recorded. The data should be accurately recorded in a timely manner, kept up to date and appropriately actioned.



Undertake routine tasks on own initiative and support other team members to undertake the full range of administrative activities.

Organise and prioritise own workload and tasks in accordance with line manager’s guidance.



Undertake any other admin or clerical duties that may be delegated appropriate to the job band.



Validation of waiting lists using the Trust PAS system and making appropriate actions on the system.



Validation of various KPIs on the Trusts Data Quality tracker, checking patient pathways and making corrections as appropriate.

Please refer to the detailed Job Description but main responsibilities are -

To support with administration duties, this may be finding information about a patient on one of the hospitals computer systems and matching that with the central patient record. This will mean patient records are accurate. It may require you finding out what needs to happen to a patient next and checking that this has been booked.

You will be trained to use various IT systems including Microsoft applications, Trust Patient Access System (PAS), Trust Data Quality tracker and other systems to validate (check the patient information is correct), review and obtain relevant information to ensure accuracy.



The role will require you to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) that are specific to the area that you are placed to enter and make changes to patient information, ensuring patients are receiving the right treatment in the correct time frame.



You may be required to phone patients to ensure that they are ready for their appointments, following training you will be provided with a script to make sure patients are reminded of their upcoming appointment and any things the hospital needs them to do prior to attending.
