An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join Broomfield Primary School on a permanent basis. We are looking for someone that is determined and professional with the willingness to learn. The successful candidate will also be required to do lunchtime cover for a child with SEN requirements for 30 minutes per day during term time.
The Learning Support Assistant is responsible for providing support to our pupils and teachers to provide high quality education. The successful candidate will work with whole classes, small groups, and SEN pupils on an individual 1:1 basis.
The role of LSA within the school is an important and rewarding role, as it provides vital support to those students who need it. You will be enthusiastic about education and ensuring that the children reach their full potential in all areas of the curriculum. We are looking to appoint a bright, cheerful, well-motivated individual. You will be able to work within a team but also have the ability to work independently whilst providing high quality provision to our pupils and support to the teachers within the school.
The ideal candidate:
• Be NVQ Level 2 qualified or have equivalent experience of supporting teaching and learning in an educational setting.
• Have the ability to take direction from the Class Teacher to ensure all tasks and learning is undertaken within and outside of the classroom.
• Have the motivation and passion for being part of a successful school team.
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Have the ability to contribute to the progression of learning in school.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively.
