Summary

We are looking for a proactive, dynamic, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Event Security Coordinator. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and implementing security arrangements for specific events hosted by our organisation. The Event Security Coordinator will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure the safety and security of event attendees, staff, and assets.
This position requires strong organisational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage security operations in dynamic event environments.

Location: Central London (EC3M)
Salary: £41,828.56 per annum
Hours: 50 hours per week
Shifts: Days - Monday to Friday - 08:00 – 18:00 – Flexibility required for events

Job Requirements:

SIA Door Supervisor Licence required.
Complete IOSH Course (Managing Safely) - This course will be provided by CIS if you don’t already have the qualification.
Experience in the Corporate Event, Hospitality, Security or Customer Service industry would be a distinct advantage.
Passionate about event security and thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
Possess strong leadership qualities and excel at coordinating multiple stakeholders to achieve common security objectives.
Flexibility to travel throughout the UK & Ireland as required due to the operational needs of the role – Must be a valid Passport holder and meet the travel requirements to travel within the EU.
Attention to detail and proactive approach allow you to anticipate security risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication skills enable you to convey complex security information to diverse audiences.
Committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of event attendees and staff.
Physically fit to conduct walk through of events, this role has a high degree of time spent in and around events spaces and moving between office spaces.
Confident in writing incident and shift reports
Have the IT skills and the ability to understand and use varied Access Control and CCTV systems and platforms / integrated systems (Lots of sites use different Systems)
Have experience of using Microsoft Office applications, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint environments etc - Be able to manage and update a busy Outlook Calendar
To have a smart appearance befitting the company and the corporate environment.
Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties.
Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested.

Job Responsibilities:

To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, always providing an exceptional customer service ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded.
Able to understand Corporate Escalation Process - Escalate and Disseminate information in a timely manner to the correct personnel in the event or during an emergency or Incident on site.
Conduct risk assessments and develop security plans tailored to each event, considering factors such as venue, number of attendees, and threat landscape.
Have the ability to exercise command and control and be an effective communicator to all peer groups and management levels.
Able to work in a team as well as on your own and can be pro-active and think on your feet use initiative.
Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner.
To always portray a friendly, professional, and courteous demeanour, using open and appropriate body language.
Have the ability to write emails and reply to emails in the correct manner and speak, very important in Corporate Industry.
Coordinate with event organisers, local management, and local security team to establish security protocols and emergency response procedures.
Oversee the deployment of security personnel and resources during events, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to security protocols.
Monitor event activities and security incidents in real-time, making timely adjustments to security measures as needed.
Conduct post-event debriefings and evaluations to assess security effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Maintain accurate records of security incidents, interventions, and outcomes for reporting and analysis purposes.
Stay informed about current security trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements relevant to event security.
Keep accurate financial records of costings of events.
Keep stakeholders updated on cost of events & confirmation that additional resources have been scheduled.
Provide guidance and training to event staff on security procedures and emergency response protocols.
Collaborate with Key Stakeholder teams to communicate security information to event attendees and stakeholders.
Attend regular meetings with the CIS Management Team & Client to provide updates on events escalating any concerns in person or online via Microsoft Teams
Keep accurate records of Consumables levels, card holders, Visitor lanyards and identify when these need to be replenished.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly assess and respond to security incidents by means of dynamic Risk Assessments.
Identify areas for improvement in security processes and procedures, and drive initiatives to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of security event management process.
Be able to maintain open and transparent communication channels with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on security matters and addressing any concerns or issues in a timely manner.
Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents as they arise, ensuring correct escalations and reports are made in a timely manner.
Being able to meet any reasonable company or client request.
