Summary


Assistant Psychologist

Adult Inpatient -Dorset all Age Eating Disorders Service

We would like to invite applications for the post of Assistant Psychologist. This post will be based at Kimmeridge Court, St Ann's Hospital, Poole a space shared by the adult inpatient unit and day programme


We are looking for an enthusiastic person to be part of our well established and growing team. The successful applicant will be engaging, approachable, motivated, committed to personal and professional development, and able to engage with people with complex mental health difficulties.


The role will include assisting with group interventions, and delivering some clinical work on an individual basis, under supervision. In addition, you will take a role in supporting audit and contribute to data analysis and dissemination.

You will receive supervision from the inpatient Clinical Psychologist.


Under the direction of the Inpatient Clinical Psychologist:
• Conduct one to one interventions under close supervision and other routine psychological assessments for group work activities.
• Assist with the facilitation of psychoeducational groups and workshops for clients under DAEDS - Adult Inpatient
• Provide client intervention and psychometric testing that requires prolonged concentration.
• Collect, collate and analyse clinical information.
