Summary


Are you interested in Mental Health? Are you passionate about education and wanting to make a difference?

The REC offers courses to anyone who is 18 or over, living in Dorset. The courses focus on mental health, wellbeing and recovery and are aimed at people accessing services, family members and supporters, and staff. All courses are co-developed and co-delivered by people with lived experience and mental health professionals.

The Recovery Education Centre is a partnership service between Dorset HealthCare and the Dorset Mental Health Forum; this is known as the Wellbeing and Recovery Partnership. Central to the partnership are the values of recovery, wellbeing and co-production between lived experience of health conditions and professional expertise.

The post holder would be employed by Dorset HealthCare University NHS Foundation Trust and will work closely in partnership with the Dorset Mental Health Forum.

Full and Part Time Hours available

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and engaging Admissions Tutor and Administration Assistant for our Recovery Education Centre (REC).

The admissions tutor is responsible for meeting students to support them to undertake an individual learning plan, ensuring they get the best out of their experience with the REC. This involves enabling people to recognise their strengths and aspirations, alongside any learning needs, and being confident in signposting to applicable courses and/or to external organisations.

In addition, key to the role is supporting the Recovery Education Centre staff with day to day administrative tasks and to liaise with other members of the Recovery Education Centre team to organise and deliver an efficient office system. This includes talking to students and dealing with enquiries on the telephone.
