Summary


Ward 6D is a specialist cardiology ward, where we care for a variety of patients with cardiac problems, working collaboratively with multiple medical teams. Our caseload includes patients with congenital heart conditions, heart failure, inherited cardiovascular disease and infective endocarditis. We also look after patients post complex cardiac surgery and post structural procedures. Our vision is to be a leading and innovative nursing and AHP centre providing exceptional care and patient experience. We are a dedicated, supportive and ambitious team offering excellent training and development opportunities

The healthcare support worker will work across
the team to gain experience in looking after a varied range of specialist cardiology patients, offering unique opportunities to develop skills and experience in cardiology care. The ward has specialist equipment such as cardiac monitors, providing healthcare support workers with palatable skills for development in cardiology nursing.

The post holder will be required to provide the highest standard of individualised and holistic patient care in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, supervise and teach junior members of staff as required and maintain their own personal development with support from the nursing team.
