Summary

We are recruiting for a part- time, permanent Specialty Personal Assistant in Clinical Immunology and Allergy/Rheumatology based at the Queens Medical Centre.



You will be an enthusiastic and conscientious team player and willing to provide cover for other specialities within Clinical Services as and when required.



You will be able to work under pressure, have excellent written and verbal skills, excellent planning, time-management and organisational skills, as well as being an innovative thinker and always willing to put forward ideas knowing that you are part of a forward-thinking team. You will be able to prioritise yours and others workload throughout the day. You must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues.



It is preferable that the successful candidate will have had previous NHS experience in a similar role, a good level of education and experience of using different IT systems (such as NotIS or Medway PAS). You will be competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages.

Working as part of a team, the post-holder will support the provision of a comprehensive PA, secretarial and administrative service to the clinical team of Consultants and Specialist Nurses. Duties will primarily include consultant diary management, word processing clinical and non-clinical letters, clinic maintenance, taking minutes, dealing with incoming mail and results, communicating with patients and staff, supporting and mentoring new staff.
