Summary


We are looking for 2 enthusiastic specialist practitioners to join our Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Early Attachment Service (EAS) in order to contribute to the implementation of a community basedtherapeutic service; this will be in line with the Best Start for Life framework for parents to be, infants and their families with a particular focus on early intervention.

You will be joining an experienced, skilled and highly committed team. You will receive line management supervision from the clinical lead for EAS and clinical supervision from one of our highly specialist clinical psychologists/ psychotherapists.

Working as a specialist practitioner in the Early Attachment Service, the role will involve providing therapeutic support to families in the antenatal and postnatal period, liaising closely with colleagues in Health Visiting, Midwifery, IAPT, Perinatal CMHT, NICU and Children’s Social Care and Family Hubs.

A key aspect of the job will be to promote and raise awareness of parent infant mental health across the borough, enhancing knowledge, skills and confidence in the local PIMH workforce through training, consultation, supervision and promotion, particularly within the locality Family Hubs.

The work will also involve supporting the implementation and delivery of therapeutic PIMH groups across the local borough in partnership with external agencies.

The postholder will be a member the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Early Attachment Service, a multi- disciplinary parent-infant mental health (PIMH) service for under 2s. We provide a clinical service, training, consultation, and supervision across the large multi-agency network of professionals. We have good links with Health Visiting, Maternity Services, Children’s Centres, Adult Mental Health, Voluntary sector, Children’s Social Care and Early Help.

The team has regular face-to-face team meetings, individual supervisions and line management. There are regular opportunities for support and CPD.
