Summary


We are pleased to invite applications for a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist (Band 8a) to join our team. The post holder will be based in the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Early Attachment service which is a Parent Infant Mental Health Service located in Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, CAMH Service. The post holder will work as a highly specialist practitioner developing and implementing a community based therapeutic service to parents to be, infants and their families with a particular focus on early intervention and prevention for high risk and vulnerable families as part of the Best Start for Life programme.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional who is keen to extend and develop their clinical skills within the field of parent infant mental health. The role will involve providing therapeutic assessment and treatment for parents and their babies who are experiencing challenges within the parent-infant relationship.

In addition to the direct clinical work, the post holder willprovide clinical supervision and consultation to colleagues within the team and across the wider PIMH workforce. The role will also include contributing to multi-agency training and offering reflective practice to “Getting more help” services.



The postholder will be a member the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale Early Attachment Service, a multi- disciplinary parent-infant mental health (PIMH) service for under 2s. We provide a clinical service, training, consultation, and supervision across the large multi-agency network of professionals. We have good links with Health Visiting, Maternity Services, Children’s Centres, Adult Mental Health, Voluntary sector, Children’s Social Care and Early Help.

The team has regular face-to-face team meetings, individual supervisions and line management. There are regular opportunities for support and CPD.
