Summary

I am a young boy living in Swansea, I have ASD and I am partially verbal. I have very little danger awareness so I would need to be always supervised. I love to play on my iPad, I love to swim and play in water and going on walks with my family. My favourite thing to eat is chips. My favourite thing to do is swimming. I enjoy going to the cinema and I enjoy reading. I would also like to choose the activity that I would like to do. I love to go to the fair and indoor play areas. I am looking for a PA to take me out when I go out with my mother and my brother to activities out in the community.

Hours of work
3 hours x 39 weeks plus 20 miles (Thursday and Friday afternoons after 4pm)
5 hours x 13 weeks (school holidays) plus 20 miles (Weekdays preferred)
Rate of pay: £12.75.
Tasks involved:
· Accompany me with my mum and my brother to outdoor activities when the weather is nice.
· Accompany me to do my chosen activity in the park and outdoor and indoor play areas.
· Provide supervision to ensure that I am safe and having a good time

· Someone with a caring and responsible attitude
· Has experience working with children with autism
· Be willing to undertake any training identified as relating to the post e.g. Manual Handling Course, Basic First Aid
Concerning the position
You will be formally employed by the Direct Payment Client which requires a National Insurance number to be submitted. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. Salary will be paid monthly (Annual leave is calculated on a pro rata basis) . A DBS MUST be processed prior to any commencement of employment. Costs of DBS will be met by Swansea council where applicant is eligible.
