Summary

Occupational Therapy Assistant SC6

Description
We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant SC6 to join our team. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside licensed occupational therapists to provide direct patient care and assist in improving patients' quality of life. You will work with a diverse patient population and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.

Your role will involve working closely with patients to help them regain and maintain their independence in daily activities. You will assist with therapeutic activities, exercises, and treatment interventions to help patients improve their physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. In addition, you will document and report patient progress, educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques, and provide support and encouragement throughout the rehabilitation process.

As an Occupational Therapy Assistant SC6, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an occupational therapist -
Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans -
Conduct therapeutic activities and exercises to promote physical and cognitive functioning -
Document and report patient progress and treatment outcomes -
Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs -
Assist in assessing and adjusting treatment plans based on patient needs and progress -
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and interdisciplinary communication
Requirements
Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program -
Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant -
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an occupational therapy setting -
Strong knowledge of occupational therapy principles and techniques -
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills -
Ability to work effectively as part of a team -
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care -
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Pay Per Hour: £16.35
