We are now looking for a Lead M&E Engineer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

This role operates on a rotating shift pattern: 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm and 10pm to 6am, from Monday to Friday. There is the requirement for occasional weekend shifts and opportunities for overtime working.


Internally, this role will be known as a Shift Lead Engineer.

The Role

As our Lead M&E Engineer, you will get involved in a wide variety of planned and unplanned maintenance and repair tasks.

In this varied role, you’ll cover a range of duties from site maintenance, such as fixing a leaking tap, to project work installing multimillion-pound Injection Mould machines and automation.

Leading a small, friendly team, you will prioritise and organise tasks, assigning them to team members on your shift as well as mentoring and coaching apprentices. You will also conduct administrative tasks and systems activity.

About You

To be considered as our Lead M&E Engineer, you will need:

- Pneumatic and hydraulic experience
- Basic PLC knowledge
- Supervisory skills
- A degree level qualification in engineering
- An up-to-date electrical qualification

* Pay is structured between basic annual salary of £45,000 for 40 hours per week, plus 10% extra guaranteed in return for working 104 extra hours per annum (which works out at approximately double time).
** Subject to company-wide targets being achieved, not guaranteed.
