The newly renamed Tenancy Support (formerly ASB) team are looking for a Tenancy Support Officer to join them as they continue to support residents in all elements of tenancy sustainment, safeguarding and community safety.



The Officer will be expected to promote community safety and safeguarding with our residents and stakeholders and lead on managing serious breaches of tenancy across the Dover District.


This role will be expected to deliver excellent customer service by giving advice and assistance and working with internal teams, external agencies and customers who have community safety or safeguarding matters.


The Officer must provide an efficient and effective service to resolve a variety of matters reported, either informally through intervention and support or formally as a last resort through the legal action.


The Tenancy Support Officer role will act as a front-line Officer representing DDC when out and about in the community and will make a real difference to the lives of residents and stake-holders of DDC.




What We Are Looking For:
An officer to assist the team with the management of high-level community Safety, domestic abuse and safeguarding cases reported to the organisation. You will understand community safety matters and how they impact on our residents and communities.



Reporting to the Senior Tenancy Support Officer the successful candidate will be able to:



Investigate cases of ASB and Domestic Abuse and support both the victim and the perpetrators
Gather evidence of ASB and Domestic Abuse and use the relevant tools and powers available.
Where required work with our legal services team to take enforcement action
Work closely with our partners both internal and external to help sustain tenancies.
You should have exceptional skills in handling difficult conversations, promoting resident responsibility for the behaviours of themselves, their households, and their visitors.

The role requires a full, clean UK driving licence.



Due to the nature of this role the successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check as part of their pre-employment clearances.
