Summary
Personal assistant required for a fifteen-year-old young man with autism who lives near Redruth.
Currently, he experiences high anxiety and may exhibit selective mutism when feeling overwhelmed.
He is looking for someone he can build a relationship with and who can provide him with some regular one-to-one support.
A personal assistant would help him engage in activities within the local community, such as swimming and visiting the cinema.
He loves online gaming, Japanese anime, his pet dog, and animals in general.
When indoors, he enjoys computers games such as Minecraft, Roblox and Fortnite.
Hourly rate: £12.00 per hour plus mileage and expenses.
Three hours per week are available, although this is very flexible. Some weekends and school holiday availability will be required.
Car driver and access to own vehicle is essential.
Some knowledge or personal experience of working with young people with SEND is a distinct advantage.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
