Technical Operator - Water Industry
Up to £33,500 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, plus 1 week in every 6 weeks standby duty

The Role:
* You will be responsible for maintaining the control and operation of strategic water treatment sites aligned with regulatory
guidelines.
* Manage your time effectively to complete a demanding schedule of plant maintenance activities.
* Knowledge and application of technical skills to operate, maintain, improve, and repair equipment.
* Respond to site and equipment breakdowns and safely restore plant supply.
* Responsible for the maintenance of production source sites, including:
1. Chemical stock levels.
2. Pump changeovers.
3. Waste discharge.
4. Chemical dosing installations.
5. UV Installations.
6. Treatment processes (nitrate, iron, manganese, etc.).
7. Diesel generator.
* Assist production technicians and carry out technical installations (electrical, mechanical, and chemical).
* Understand the principles of site design/operation.
* Supervise and partake in the cleaning of contact tanks and reservoirs.
* Utilise appropriate safety and environmental procedures for people, processes, materials, products, and equipment to ensure a
safe working environment for the entire team.
What You’ll Need:
* Water industry experience would be advantageous.
* Technical knowledge in mechanical engineering.
* HNC level (or equivalent) qualification in Electrical Engineering is desirable or relevant industry experience.
* Comprehensive knowledge of chemical handling and dosing systems is desirable.
