Summary

Liberty has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our team, based in Salford. You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of up to £27,000 per annum depending on experience Plus Company Car or Allowance Plus Excellent Benefits! along with Quantity Surveying Degree Course is to be funded through Liberty

Responsibilities for this Trainee Quantity Surveyor role are:

Assist with the financial and contractual management of numerous construction projects
Assist with managing small schemes from tender handover to final account stage
Assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Manager on larger projects
Learn the tender process & ability to create appropriate tender documents
Prepare commercial agreements with teams to present to senior staff for sign off
Maximise value/income
Working to commercial timetable
Ensure the appropriate tender margin is met on each project
Look for ways to increase margin
Assist the Senior Quantity Survey to provide accurate and consistent cost reports
Manage low value schemes along with contractual position at all stages of the project
Implement terms of contracts
Maintain awareness of contractual positions
Effectively manage risk alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyor
Valuing of orders to be billed to our clients
Undertake site measures as and when required

What we are looking for in our ideal Trainee Quantity Surveyor:

Previous experience on social housing planned and responsive contracts along with experience and knowledge of NHF Schedule of Works. Be confident with IT skills. Hold the relevant Qualification. Must be flexible in hours of work and travel and hold a full UK Driving Licence.
