About the role:
As a Motor Mechanic expert, you will join our thriving and inspirational teaching team in working towards creating and delivering excellent teaching, learning and assessment on our courses at our Blackbird Leys campus.
Ideally, you will have a deep understanding of Motor Vehicle as trained Mechanic with the ability to deliver purposeful lessons to our level 1- & 2-years students.
This Motor Mechanic role is full-time (37 hours per week), permanent contract, starting early August 2024.

What do you need to be successful as a Motor Vehicle Teacher?
We are looking for a Motor Vehicle Teacher who can act as role model for our students and ensure that they leave us with not just their professional qualifications, but the attributes required to progress in the world of work. A genuine interest in working with and developing young people is a requirement.
Whilst previous teaching experience or qualification would be an advantage, it is not a requirement. As long as you have the qualifications or experience to teach on our Motor Vehicle courses and demonstrate the attributes to be an inspirational teacher, we can provide you with the necessary training, development and support to equip you to teach in the FE sector.

Level 3 or above qualification in Motor Vehicle
A strong background in Motor Vehicle work is essential.
Industry experience as a mechanic/trainer
Experience of working in a practical/workshop environment

In addition, you will need to have a flexible approach, coupled with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You will demonstrate the ability to engage and develop students and role model the attributes that we develop within our learners.
